Rules

We ask all fishermen to please observe these few simple and sensible rules to help protect our fish, fishery and the enjoyment of all anglers.

  • Barbless hook only
  • No keep nets except for pre approved and organised matches
  • Landing nets must be used at all times
  • Fish must be held no more than 30cm / 12 inches above the ground for photographs
  • You may only fish from the designated stoned areas
  • Under 14’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times
  • All anglers must be in possession of a current EA rod licence
  • Only one rod per person to be used (2 winter months)
  • Landing nets must be dipped prior to fishing
  • Anglers must have, and use, a disgorger or forceps
  • Boiles should not be used as groundbait. Hook bait only.
  • Pellets of the low-oil, coarse variety to be used as loose feed
  • We strongly encourage fishermen to use Landing Mats
  • Please do not leave any litter whatsoever – bins are provided
  • All persons using the fishery do so at their own risk
  • Cars parked are done so at their owners own risk
